Lafayette Trunk or Treat

Lafayette PTO’s annual Trunk or Treat was a huge hit! Families, teachers, the Wayne Fire Department, and the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office all joined in the fun with creative and festive trunks. It was wonderful to see so many imaginative costumes and smiling faces filling the parking lot. A big thank you to our incredible PTO for organizing this popular event, to the families who decorated trunks, and to our dedicated staff for showing up to support our students. What a great night for our school community!

PTO Brings the Pumpkin Patch to PECC

The Preakness Early Childhood Center PTO sponsored a Pumpkin Patch for our young preschoolers on a glorious fall day. Every student was able to "pick" a pumpkin. Some students decorated their pumpkin, others brought theirs home "plain". Activities were set up by our Creativity and Movement Teachers to exercise our big and small muscles. Games included a bean bag toss to knock over the stacked cups, ring toss onto the witch's hat, and toss a bean bag into the jack-o-lantern. Children created a beautiful chalk mural. Some even played Red Light, Green Light with colored pumpkin signs! Pumpkins and decorations were provided by our PTO. There were several photo opportunities! A big shout out to our parent volunteers who manned each activity and to our staff who kept their group moving to enjoy each game with little waiting!

Theunis Dey PTO hosts the Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat

The Theunis Dey PTO hosted a Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 18. The community graciously provided 14 trunks and extra candy. Volunteers ran several carnival games with families donating pumpkins and donuts. The fire department was there with a fire truck. The PTO coordinated to have the Cat Like Reflexes Food Truck on location. Wayne Hills National Honors Society members helped at the various stations. Students even had the opportunity to throw pies at the principal. With over 500 attendees, this was a huge success. A special thank you to the PTO for hosting this event and to the wonderful community of Theunis Dey.
